I was a repeat customer of Bahama Cruise Lines (Bermuda Star Line) on my 6th cruise with the company and 2nd cruise on the Bermuda Star out of San Diego to the Mexican Riviera in Jan of 1988. At the sailing day buffet lunch my lover and I realized there were more than the usual amount of gay passengers on board and then met a gay travel agent who was part of an RSVP fam. Over 50 had been invited to sample the vessel and learn about RSVP trips. Invited to their seminars (as I was in the travel business myself) I was called out by the CEO of the cruise line (Donald Caldera) and asked to contribute to the meeting. After my impromptu lesson on cabin sizes and bathroom square footage, a bitchy male agent said : "What does he do?, carry a tape measure on every cruise?" I retorted with : "Once a size queen, always a size queen!" in front of the entire audience. It was on of my best trips out of the 79 Ive been on so far.
