Michael L. Grace, since his teenage years, has accumulated a collection of approximately 4,000 reference books, 8mm and 16mm films, videos, photographs, postcards, brochures and other items devoted exclusively to the history of passenger steamships and trains.
He has concentrated his collection on American steamship lines and railroad passenger trains.
He has sailed on over 50 ships and is an authority on steamship/cruise travel.
The major area of interest is from the 1920s until the early 1970s.
The majority of material on this site are from Grace’s collection. Other material is credited with links to the source material.
Contributions are solicited. Please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Grace plans to eventually donate his collection to a library or institution dealing in American history and transportation.
